Q1 2024 Dance Games Surge on iOS in France

In the first quarter of 2024, the dance game category on iOS has seen varying performances among the top apps in France. Data from Sensor Tower provides an insight into the trends for these rhythmic favorites.

Ubisoft's Just Dance Now started strong with a peak in revenue during the first week at nearly $1M, but experienced a decline over the quarter. Downloads saw a sharp drop from over 3K in the first week to under 1K, with weekly active users following a similar downward trend from over 5K to approximately 1.8K.

Coco Play's Hip Hop Battle - Girls vs Boys showed modest revenue, hovering around the low thousands throughout the quarter. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a noticeable increase to 93 in early March. Weekly active users peaked at 139 in the same period.

Ice Skating Ballerina, another Coco Play title, had an inconsistent revenue pattern with two weeks of zero earnings. Downloads ranged from 409 at the beginning of the quarter to 244 by the end, while active users saw a peak of 648 in late February before a slight decline.

Dance Clash: Ballet vs Hip Hop did not report revenue for several weeks, thus the focus is on its downloads and active users. Downloads remained under 300 for most of the quarter, with a spike to 260 in mid-March. Active users showed a similar uptick during the same period, reaching a high of 449.

Coco Play's Acrobat Star Show had a revenue drop to zero after the first month, but downloads and active users saw a gradual increase. Downloads peaked at 292 in late February, while active users reached their highest at 361 in the same month.
